Auxiliary decision-making based preventive control is one of the most important modules in on-line analysis and control system of large power grid security and stability. According to the often faced problems in practical engineering, such as transient stability, static security, static voltage stability, and a variety of security and stability issues of comprehensive auxiliary decision-making, the adaptability of various calculating methods of preventive control for the requirements of on-line analysis and control in the actual large power grid is reviewed. On the basis of reviewing various methods, the control performance index based on the quantitative analysis theory and method of power system security and stability is proposed, which can be used to guide control measures for heuristic search and parallel allocation of computing tasks. The method is capable of improving the robustness of the algorithm and the computation speed, while yielding optimal control decision-making as much as possible.
